Booking.com
How to get Booking.com reservations into Norka and block dates on Booking that are taken elsewhere.
Norka connects to Booking.com through iCal calendars. There are two separate links, each one-way:
- Import – Norka fetches your estate's calendar from Booking and turns every reservation into a stay.
- Export – Booking fetches the estate's calendar from Norka and blocks dates taken elsewhere (Airbnb, direct bookings).
Both steps take about five minutes together. On Booking, each estate (in their words a "room" or "unit") is connected separately.
1. Copy the calendar link from Booking
- Sign in to the Booking.com extranet.
- Open Rates & Availability → Sync calendars.
- Next to the unit you want to connect, click Export calendar.
- Copy the generated link. It ends in
.icsand looks roughly likehttps://ical.booking.com/v1/export?t=…
The link is a secret: anyone who has it can see the estate's occupancy. Share it with Norka and nowhere else.
2. Add the import in Norka
- In Norka open Estates and pick the estate.
- In the iCal imports section click Add import.
- Choose Booking.com as the Source, paste the link into Calendar URL and optionally give it a Name (for example "Booking main").
- Leave Active on and save.
Norka fetches the calendar right away and then keeps checking it every hour. Each import shows when its Last sync ran.
3. Let Booking fetch the calendar from Norka
So that Booking does not sell a date you already have from Airbnb or a direct booking:
- On the estate page in Norka copy the iCal export URL.
- In the extranet under Sync calendars click Import calendar, paste the link and name it "Norka".
Booking refreshes external calendars only a few times a day, so a new stay can take a few hours to show up there. That is how Booking works, not Norka.
What happens once connected
- A new reservation on Booking appears in Norka as a stay with the source Booking.com and the guest name from the calendar. You get a notification, and once the stay has the guest's email you can send the online check-in link with one click.
- A changed date is written through to the stay.
- A cancellation on Booking cancels the stay in Norka automatically and records it in the activity log.
- Collisions – when two calendars both claim the estate on the same day, Norka flags it and alerts you. You resolve it by hand; Norka never deletes anything.
Common questions
Does Booking include the guest's name in the calendar? Sometimes. When it does not, the stay is named after the source and the name is filled in once the guest completes online check-in.
I have several rooms in one property on Booking. Each room has its own link on Booking. Create an estate in Norka for each and connect them separately.
Do I get two-way price sync? No. Prices and availability stay on Booking; Norka takes over the reservations and makes sure dates never overlap.
